Video Library of the Ministry of the Environment (MŽP)
The Czech geological Survey - Geofond is responsible for one of the video-rental facilities of the Ministry of the Environment (MŽP), which contains 428 videocassettes with mainly ecological, and a smaller number with geological themes (heading M) as of 1 July 2005. In addition, 33 videocassettes loaned by the Envideo Foundation (H) and 13 video transcriptions of geological films from the former Czech Geological Office (V) are available. The collection of geological documentary films contains 68 videocassettes.
By prior arrangement, the videocassettes can be borrowed for two weeks free of charge from the building of the CGS-Geofond in Prague. Contact RNDr. Alan Donat (phone number +420 233 371 190). From the third week on, the loan is subject to a fee charged according to the service price list. Please note that these videotapes can not be kept longer than 3 months. In case of a delayed return, a fine of 300 CK will be charged as stipulated in the Loan service regulations.
