A Guide to the Services
What can we do for you?
-
Do you need to know what geological works (such as boreholes, mineral exploration programmes etc.) have been carried out in the area you are interested in, or what geological hazards (landslides, undermining, mine workings) or mineral resources (mineral deposits, inferred resources, mining leases, protected areas of mineral deposits) are there?
If so, visit our Applications.
-
Do you need additional information about individual objects you found in the
Applications? You have several options:
- If you are interested in additional information about boreholes (e.g. geological sections), visit the
eEarth
- application for borehole browsing
- Information about other objects (mineral resources, landslides, undermining, waste dumps, old mine workings, reclamation etc.) can be obtained in
Selection of objects from defined area.
- o If you are not absolutely sure or have a more complicated request, ask individual
experts,
they will be pleased to help you.
-
Do you need more detailed data than those in the Applications? Do you need them in digital form for your information system?
Visit the Selection of objects from defined area.
-
Do you need information about the results of geological works for completing land-use planning documents under § 13 of the Act No. 62/1988 Coll., on geological works, as amended, or an opinion from the Czech Geological Survey – Geofond about procedures for construction?
Visit the Materials for land-use planning.
-
Do you need to construct a thematic map?
Visit the Creation of thematic maps
-
Do you need to consult archived documents (reports, assessments, documentation, material documentation - drill cores, samples)?
Visit our Archive
-
Do you need to process a review on previously completed exploratory works, known geological hazards (landslides, undermining), mineral resources (mineral deposits, their composition, location, parameters etc.)?
Visit Processing specialized reviews.
-
Do you conduct geological works in the sense of § 2 of the Act No. 62/1988 Coll., on geological works, as amended (only "the Act" in the text below)?
Then, you are obliged to register these works with the Czech Geological Survey - Geofond as stipulated by § 7 of the Act and the Decree No. 282/2001 Coll., on registration of geological works, and to forward the results (geological documentation) to the CGS-Geofond as stipulated by § 12 of the Act and the Decree No. 368/2004, on geological documentation. You can download the necessary documents.
