Investment Development and Land-use Planning
The Czech Geological Survey - Geofond has been charged with rendering comprehensive reports on documentation related to investment development and land-use planning in relation to areas of specific geological conditions under the terms of § 13 of the Act No. 62/1988 Coll., on geological works (Geological Act), as amended, and of § 18 and 19 of the Act No. 44/1988 Coll., on the protection of mineral resources (Mining Act), as amended, and in compliance with the Act No. 50/1976 Coll., (Building Code), as amended, and the Decree No. 135/2001 Coll., on regional planning data and land-use planning documentation.
In addition, the Czech Geological Survey - Geofond provides information on the results of geological works,which may affect processing of land-use planning documents under § 13 and in compliance with § 17 of the Act No. 62/1988 Coll., and the Act No. 123/1998 Coll., on the right to information on environmental issues.
This information is presented in the form of:

- thematic data outputs and files in the GIS environment (see
Information system)
Opinions in writing related to these problems are prepared in Prague, in the Department of Regional Information. Applications can be submitted in writing or by e-mail at the address of the organization geofond@geofond.cz or directly to Jika Šťávová. These opinions are provided free of charge.
More detailed opinions relating to undermining or landslides are compiled by the Department of Risk Factors at Kutná Hora; again, contact geofond@geofond.cz or, directly, Mgr. Seba(landslides) and Mgr. Sebova(undermining). These assessments are a specialized professional service and are subject to a written order specifying the works required, for which a fee is charged. Charges for the preparation of these opinions are based on the current services price list.
